Cuma 5 Temmuz 2013, 15:30-17:00, GAU Millennium Senato Kongre Salonu Mimarlık: Pratik, Eğitim ve Aktivizm Jim Roche (Dublin Institute of Technology - IRELAND) Özet: The first presentation will be on the destruction and construction in the occupied territories of Palestine. After this presentation Jim will talk about his work in architectural practice and his teaching at the Dublin School of Architecture. Exploring a range of built and student projects the talk will embrace aspects of urban design, architecture, planning, detailing, construction, conservation, energy efficiency, and drawing and representation. Özgeçmiş: Jim Roche studied at UCD and the Bartlett, UCL Schools of Architecture, London. Following many years in architectural practice he now teaches architecture and architectural technology at the Dublin School of Architecture, Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland.Academic research interests include housing design and history, bioclimatic design, sustainable technologies, community activism, architecture and conflict and other ways of doing architecture. He is also an anti-war activist and has visited Palestine and Israel on numerous occasions.
